Beauty Haul

Hello everybody,

as you may have seen from my last post, I have been feeling spendy after university took over my life. This resulted in one too many trips to Selfridges and their beauty department. :) I also created my makeup look using all of the products that I have purchased.

I promise I will behave myself a bit more in the future weeks as otherwise it will result in me eating bread and milk.

Has anyone realized how fast this year has gone? I remember the plan I had in my mind about this blog, and now its almost two months old. I am so grateful for everyone who has visited my site! Thank you, thank you!

Let's start with Brushes, I decided to purchase some quality face brushes, as an upgrade was necessary. I remember the last brushes that I bought were the real techniques ones, which was over two years ago.

I decided to purchase two of the Bobbi Brown brushes as my beautiful friend Lola was constantly using them, and recently a lot of bloggers were talking about them.
I bought the Full Coverage Face Brush and the Sheer Powder Brush, both award wining brushes and priced at 30 pounds each. Beautifully shaped, easy to use and gentle towards the skin. Worth every penny.

Next up is a concealer, the most hyped one in 2014 to be exact. The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. It retails at 22 pounds with a color range of 10 shades; I am in the shade Vanilla. It highlights like it should under the eyes, it's coverage is perfect however it does cling to my dry patches and creases even though I powder using the Sheer Powder Brush, which fits perfectly underneath my eyes. I will tell you guys a bit more later on.

My three final products are from MAC. First up is the MAC Prep + Prime for the lips. It disposes a translucent creamy product on your lips, a primer that promises to make your lipstick to last longer. I cannot see any difference in the longevity of the lipsticks using the Prep + Prime underneath, however it helps the color to glide on more smoothly and helps the lipstick not to cling on the dry patches on the lips. A big like from me. It retails at 13 pounds.

The next product is MAC lip pencil in Soar. Beautifully formulated, not too drying and a deeper nude color. I heard Kylie Jenner is using it, if it is good enough for her, then it is good enough for me.
It retails at 12,50 pounds. In combination with the Prep + Prime it is dreamy, such an amazing outcome.
Last but not least, is the MAC eyeshadow in Brun. I have no words for this, except that this is the best, I repeat the BEST color for my eyebrows. It is the perfect match for my brows, an ashy brown color that I bought two years ago in a kit, which went missing two weeks ago! But I loved it so much I needed to repurchase it. It retails at 13 pounds. I can recommend this product with a lot of love and pride, I even introduced my best friend Laura with this powder and she loves it.

I used all the products mentioned above to create my Makeup Look.
