Let's Talk About... Bourjois

Hello everybody,

I hope you saw my quick update on why I have not been online for some time, but now I am back with loads of ideas that I want to share with you, but for now, let's talk about ... Bourjois.

What you need to understand is that Chanel cosmetics is produced in the same factory/laboratory as bourjois. You can even say that Chanel is the big sister of bourjois, the products smell the same and have the exact same quality in my eyes minus the different price tags. If you always dreamed to have something from Chanel but just don't have the budget to cover the heavy price tag, go and try out Bourjois!

I can say this with full honesty: This is the second time I repurchased a foundation! and went on to buy another product that is very loved by people. I was sitting at my table getting ready to go out, when I pushed the applicator down to dispense some of my beloved Bourjois Healthy Serum Foundation. As nothing came out I started panicking and thinking that I need to purchase a new one as soon as possible. When this happens you know that this foundation is a favourite of mine!

The lightest shade that there is in the range is 51, a tiny bit too dark for me but you can work around this by blending it down your neck. What I love about their shade range is that the colour range is yellow-toned based, so girls with red undertones... this is for you. The texture feels gel-like, very bendable and light on the skin. This is a good low-medium buildable coverage that is quick to apply and does not need a lot of blending. A go-to product for daily use, but don't get fooled. The foundation does not contain any SPF, so you can use it at night for a fresh glowy look. If you are still not convinced, go to your nearest drugstore and try it out because this foundation is amaze-balls :)

The Bourjois Healthy Balance Compact powder is the same as the Chanel Les Baige powder, minus the price difference. It is heavenly creamy but light, perfect for setting your makeup or touch up on the go. The only thing that I don't like about it is the lack of colours, the lightest shade I have is too dark on my skin when using a kabuki brush, however if you use the powder lightly it will blend perfectly with your skin type.

I'm off to Amsterdam for this weekend, I hope you have a good weekend too and will show you next week pictures of my weekend get-a-way!
